    epiphone was gibson top competitor until gibson bought them out….if it
    were not for money problems epiphones would still be on top

    @BMXBOBO Gibson Les Pauls and Gibson Epiphones are made by the same
    company. I guess the biggest difference between the two is that Gibson Les
    Pauls are made of more expensive materials like better wood and metals that
    produce a better sound. Epiphones are made cheaper so you don’t have to pay
    over $10,000 to get a Gibson. Alot of companies do this including Fender
    which makes the Fender Stratocaster and the Fender Telecaster. Sorry if I
    spelled the names wrong.

    @BMXBOBO no they dont moron its the same company. top end epiphones compare
    to alot of gibsons for 1/4th

    Les Paul played Epiphones on his studio releases in the 40s and 50s even
    though he had his Gibson guitar.

    True…except for the Beatles, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, the Edge, Noel
    Gallagher, Josh Homme, Ace Frehley, Alex Lifeston, Zakk Wylde, oh, and some
    guy named Les Paul.
