Scales: Major Penatonic

The Major Penatonic scale includes five notes.  It has a cheerful sound like the major scale because it is derived from the major scale. It is used in country, and bright-sounding rock songs.  It is usually learned after the minor pentatonic scale.

Red= Held note
Blue= Start of new octave
1-4 = fret

The scale should be read left to right, and bottom to top
This is the basic outline of the scale.  The fingering can be transposed up the neck on any set of frets.
